I have made enormous changes in the way I have organised my life. Not just in one area or way but EVERYTHING. From office space to schedule, from funds to bedroom, from computer documents to paperwork. It has helped me vastly in my daily life and not only that, it has helped with my confidence and productivity. It has helped my confidence because I am not so drowned in what needs to be done that it has helped my well-being and it has helped my productivity because I get so much more done being organised. Preparation is key.
Office space: All folders are labeled appropriately and filed so everything is found in a flash when someone decides to hold an impromptu meeting. *another tip* label all your documents appropriately THE FIRST TIME. Saves so much time.
Schedule: My schedule is typed into my work appointment alert, my daily planner, daily to do list with a weekly one underneath and even email alerts for things that need to be done. I use Zoho Planner for this.
Funds: I’ve got a little notebook where I put my daily spending and unsurprisingly my impulse spending has lessened since I have been using this system. I also use Microsoft Excel for my “Funds Spreadsheets” where I have 3 books in the excel document for each month 1) Funds 2) Goals 3) Important dates.
Goals: My goals are in another designated notebook where I have categorised my goals into sections.
Tiny ways to feel more organised:
- clean up your facebook “friends”
- organise your makeup
- organise your handbag
- organise your documents on your computer
- organise what you need to do every week for the next week, month, year.
